I just loaded my tune and have a P0106 code, what do I do?

So you're excited, you just got your new tune installed, your parts are loaded, and you turn on the car, only to find subpar drivability and a Check Engine Light (CEL). You pull codes and you see the following:

Now What?! The P0106 trouble code is a map sensor mismatch, meaning the signal the car is receiving is different from what the tune is anticipating. You may see trouble such as the car car clunking going into gear, the car only wanting to move in reverse, or general drivability issues.

Typically this means either:

A.) You installed the map sensor pre-TB instead of on top of the intake manifold (the pre-TB sensor is already a 3 bar);

B.) The tune wasn't for the correct map sensor; OR

C.) You didn't load the tune.

The easiest remedy is to verify map sensor location, and verifying that your new sensor is installed HERE:

If your map sensor is in face here, try swapping back to the OEM map sensor that was previously installed, clear the trouble code, and restart the car. If all is running smoothly, verify that you did install the tune via the instructions provided by your tuner. If the tune was properly installed, consult your tuner as there is a chance that the map sensors was coded incorrectly, leading to issues.
