So you've loaded your tune, cruising around and you decide to pull out your latest Snapgram Tic Tac Toe app to take a picture of your newfound power. You bring up the speedometer overlay and WAIT, your phone's GPS is showing differently from what your car's speedometer is displaying.
DON'T PANIC!
The fix for this is simple. Simply use your phones GPS and use cruise control to set cruise at 70 mph BASED ON YOUR PHONE READOUT.
Jot down both your phone's GPS readout AND the speedometer readout on your car.
Use this simple calculation to determine your change:
(GPS reading)/(Speedometer reading) * (Current Calibration) = (New Calibration)
If you have user options enabled on your handheld, you can make this change yourself.
HPTuners - Calibration is based on Tire Circumference
SCT - Calibration is based on Tire Revolutions Per Mile
If you DON'T have user options enabled, simple submit a request through our Tuning Support Portal and let us know the information above and we can make the changes.
It's that easy!
